Taste of Nepal 2018: Utsav

Taste of Nepal 2018: Utsav is a cultural program that is annually held by the Nepalese Student Association at George Mason University. It is a fun night filled with singing, dance performances, fashion show, and some Nepalese cuisine. This year our theme is Utsav which translates to celebrations. We will be showing the different festivities of Nepal. The show will depict the diversity in nepal by representing different performances of various ethnic groups in Nepal. Everyone is welcome and the event is free.

Philippine Culture Night

Philippine Culture Night is where GMU’s very own Filipino Cultural Association presents a play displaying the essence of the Philippine culture through its depiction of the rich traditions and lifestyle within the Philippines while also demonstrating and integrating our three pillars of Culture, Diversity, and Family.

Mason DREAMers has grown a lot in the past couple of years and we recognize that this would not be possible without all of the support we have received from our parents, mentors, and community members who have guided us along the way. Our "Original Dreamers" are those in our lives who have motivated us to pursue our goals despite the barriers that come across. We will be holding a formal dinner where dreamers, allies, and other community advocates can come together to show gratitude and celebrate what we have achieved so far.

ALL members of the Mason community - students, faculty, and staff - are welcome to participate! Please consider displaying a flag, carrying an artifact, or wearing attire that represents your nationality, ethnicity, heritage, student organization, sorority or fraternity, residence hall, or other affiliation. This is a ceremony to showcase your country flags, cultural attire, and on-campus involvement at Mason. We will end the ceremony with a group dance and announcements of all of the represented groups in attendance. A light reception will follow. Click here to register.
